RVC February 2026 Investor Forum
Hosted In-person at Foley Lardner LP (1144 15th Street Suite 2200 Denver, CO 80202) or virtual via Zoom
RVC Investor Forums bring together accredited angel investors interested in fast-growing, early-stage companies in Colorado. These forums serve to pool the wisdom, expertise, and capital of many individual angels. At this forum, investor members will hear pitches, and afterwards the founders are excused and investors discuss the merits and risks of each venture. There is no requirement to invest and each investor has an opportunity to indicate interest in following or leading a specific deal. Both new and experienced investor members are welcome at forums -- this is the best way to learn hands-on about angel investing!

Kestrel Labs builds AI-powered building code compliance that helps complex construction projects get permitted on the first pass. Today, code compliance is one of the largest hidden drivers of permitting delays, costly rework, and stalled development across the U.S. built environment. Kestrel translates dense legal building requirements into deterministic, auditable checks that run directly inside architects’ existing design workflows, catching critical issues upstream instead of at submission. We have five paid contracts live, a pipeline of over sixty architecture firms, and strategic partnerships including the International Code Council and Autodesk.

Polymers with breakthrough capabilities, like Teflon and Gore-Tex, are developed once per generation and change the world. Mussel Polymers has developed a new polymer called poly (catechol-styrene) or “PCS”. Inspired by mussels' ability to glue to surfaces in the ocean, PCS has the unique superpower to bind underwater, through blood, and to all manner of slippery surfaces. MPI is the first and only commercial source for catechol polymers and is designing, manufacturing, and selling a wide range of valuable products in the biomedical, industrial, and defense sectors. The company has received multiple defense contracts and has products in testing with the US Navy (underwater coatings and adhesives) and the US Air Force (high-performance coatings). These products will also generate revenue from the sale of civilian versions.
The company has developed a permanent cure for dentin hypersensitivity (replacing Sensodyne), which it expects to launch in Q1 2027. MPI sells an underwater adhesive, “SeaTak,” for restoring coral reefs and repairing swimming pools, boats, and underwater infrastructure. MPI is also developing cosmetic and biomedical adhesives that all use the same PCS molecule. MPI is revenue positive and expects to be profitable before the end of 2026, with exits anticipated in 2027 and 2028.
